Rest In His Shadow

We were at Lifeway Community Church in Anderson last Sunday. Thanks for praying for us. I am also grateful to all our WRI staff who live close and made the effort to come to the service. Pastor Jeremy Nivens stated that several prayed with us who had not done that before so we are rejoicing with the angels of heaven. I also preached that afternoon at Brandywine Community Church about ten minutes from my house. It was for middle schools boys who are committing to an eight week study to prepare them to be men of God. It is called Warriors of the King. I loved it. We showed some scenes from Chronicles of Narnia when Peter fights off the wolves and then is knighted by Aslen. I told them that I believe we are in the final minutes of earth's history and they have been chosen by God as Warriors of the Cross of Christ. I am ready to sign up again! Actually, I challenged them to take my place. They will.

I love the picture Amanda Reynolds of Turtle Pond Photography took of Doug Newnum on the night of World Renewal's Anniversary Banquet. A couple of days ago I read these words from the Psalmist and thought of this picture, "Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty." Ps. 91:1

Thanks!

I just want to thank the Lord and His people for your faithfulness to this ministry. It has been amazing to see how God goes about His business when He decides it is time. I wish I could set down with each person who has prayed for us the last several months and describe how God has provided in our lives and ministry. Carol and I are a bit weary and taking some time to rest. Financially, we were so far hehind. Now, I am told by our accountants we could pay all bills with just $3000. That is amazing grace! Thanks to all.

Renewal and I are at Lifeway Community Church this Sunday morning at 10:00 AM. Lifeway is a new church plant of Brandywine Community Church and Brookville Rd. Community Church in Anderson, Indiana. Lifeway is located on old 67 or 1426 West 53rd Street in Lee's Theatre across from Good's Candy.

We lost nearly $10,000 of equipment in the break-in to our trailer in our ministry trip to Ohio. We know that about $2000 will not be covered by insurance and we are not sure how much if any of the rest will be covered by the insurance company. Steve Lindley, our drummer, only lost his cymbals. Nevertheless, to replace those he lost it was $1100. Replacing just the cords was $2500 alone. We hope the $8000 will be covered by the insurance. Thanks for asking.
Thanks for stopping by.
