Damascus and Hungary


So much of Carol and my ministry had some kind of connection or beginning during the time she served Damascus Evangelical Friends Church, Damascus, Ohio as Youth Pastor (1990-1993)and I did training of believers for outreach. 1990 is when we made our first international ministry trip to Eastern Europe. We were there as the Russian soldiers were getting ready to leave. We returned the next summer with over 100 short-term missionaries who spread out across Hungary, Romania, Czechoslovakia, Poland and Germany. It was awesome.

Today the Evangelical Friends Churches are spread out across Hungary, Romania and Albania. What a blessing! We are thrilled to be a small part of the beginning of that movement of the Holy Spirit.

This Sunday I will preach at Damascus. The services are 8:30, 9:45, 11:00 AM. I am told that the Hungarian choir will be there. I am amazed at how God works. "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen." Ephesians 3:20.
