Gary Preaches at Brazil Celebrating 10th Anniversary of Seminary

They gathered in at about 7pm for the 10th Anniversary of Northeastern Bible Seminary in Carpina, Brazil, about one hour inland from the large coastal city of Recife'. The auditorium was full, the worship enthsiastic. There was cake and strong coffee afterwards. What a joy to preach at this event of celebration and to challenge the seminary leaders, staff and students to make sure they are fisherman of men and not just those who talk and study about introducing people to Christ.

I used the story of Matthew to remind all that Jesus walked in as grace to the banquet that Matthew gave for his friends with Jesus as the guest of honor.

Pastor Tele Moraes is the founder of the seminary but he is quite ill from chest congestion and running a fever. Pastor Ricardo was my translater instead. He is one of the sweetest men God ever created. What a joy to minister with him.

Thanks for stopping by.
